Barcelona’s nightlife is on another level, which is one of the reasons people from all around the world choose to come here. From upscale spots like Negro Rojo and Jacqueline to iconic venues like Razzmatazz and Bastian Beach Club, here’s my guide to the best clubs in Barcelona for an unforgettable night out.
Barcelona’s nightlife is probably one of the best that I've experienced. If you’re visiting or live here like me, you’ve probably already heard that the city has some of the best clubs in Europe. What I love about Barcelona is how diverse the club scene is—you’ve got everything from intimate spots to massive dance floors, beachside terraces, and upscale venues that make you want to dress to impress.
After plenty of late nights (and some early mornings), I’ve put together this list of my favorite clubs in Barcelona. Whether you’re planning a big night out or just want a cool spot to check out, these are my top picks.
1. Negro Rojo
Negro Rojo is the spot if you’re looking for an upscale yet electric vibe. It’s one of my favorites, but be warned—it always has a line, so getting there by midnight is your best bet if you don’t want to wait.
The music is a mix of house and electronic with a touch of reggaeton, and the crowd is chic without feeling too exclusive. Pro tip: start your night at G Spot, get their stamp, and head to Negro Rojo after. G Spot closes at 3 a.m., but Negro Rojo keeps the party going until 5 a.m.
2. G Spot
G Spot is like a mini Negro Rojo, but with a restaurant twist. It starts off as a chic dinner spot and transforms into a club as the night progresses. The vibe is intimate, the cocktails are on point, and the music will have you on your feet before you even finish dessert. Plus, the stamp you get here gives you access to Negro Rojo—perfect for keeping the night going.
3. Chica Club
Chica Club is all about the aesthetic. The interiors are trendy and playful, and the vibe is very “cool crowd meets Instagram-worthy.” It’s smaller than some of the bigger clubs in the city, but the energy here is always on point. If you’re looking for a fun, chic spot without the chaos of larger venues, this is a solid choice.
4. Apriori
Apriori feels like one of Barcelona’s best-kept secrets. It’s intimate, stylish, and the music is consistently good. It’s perfect if you’re not in the mood for a massive club but still want to feel like you’re at an exclusive party. The cocktails are great too, which is always a bonus.
5. La Terrrazza
La Terrrazza is hands down the best summer club in Barcelona. It’s set outdoors in Poble Espanyol, and the vibe is like a dreamy summer night out with house beats and stunning views. The only downside? It’s closed during the winter, but as soon as summer hits, this place is the spot to be.
6. Bling Bling
If you’re looking for a classic upscale Barcelona club experience, Bling Bling is where it’s at. The crowd is fashionable, the music is a mix of commercial and house, and the vibe is very “dress up and dance.” It’s one of those places you go when you’re in the mood for a glamorous night out.
7. Sutton
Sutton is a Barcelona nightlife institution, and for good reason. The music is mostly commercial with some house thrown in, and the crowd is a mix of locals and visitors who are all there to have a good time. It’s upscale but not pretentious, and it’s always buzzing.
8. Jacqueline
Jacqueline is perfect if you want a dinner-to-dancing kind of night. This spot starts off as an upscale restaurant and gradually morphs into a club as the night goes on. The crowd is well-dressed, the atmosphere is luxe, and the music transitions seamlessly from background vibes to full-on party.
9. Bastian Beach Club
For a chic, beachside vibe, Bastian Beach Club is a must. Located right by the water, it offers a mix of laid-back luxury and lively energy. Whether you’re sipping cocktails on the terrace or hitting the dance floor inside, the music (a mix of commercial and house) and stunning ocean views make this spot unforgettable. It’s a perfect choice for summer nights or those who love the sound of waves as a party backdrop.
10. Atlantic Club
If you want to party with a view, Atlantic Club is your spot. Perched on Montjuïc, this place has incredible panoramic views of the city, which makes it a great pick for special occasions. The music is a mix of house and electronic, and the atmosphere is laid-back but still energetic.
11. Sala Apolo
Sala Apolo is a classic Barcelona club with a huge dance floor and an eclectic lineup of DJs. It’s one of the best spots for live music and themed nights, so check the schedule before you go. The vibe is more casual compared to the upscale clubs, which makes it perfect if you’re in the mood for something more relaxed but still want to dance.
12. Ferroz
Okay, so Ferroz isn’t really a club—it’s more like a bar with really good music. If you’re not in the mood for a full-blown club night but still want to dance, this is the perfect spot. The crowd is chill, the drinks are affordable, and the DJs are always solid.
13. Razzmatazz
Razzmatazz is iconic. This massive venue has five different rooms, each with its own vibe, so there’s always something for everyone. Whether you’re into techno, pop, or indie, you’ll find your groove here. It’s one of the best clubs in Barcelona if you’re in the mood for a wild night.
14. Clauve
Clauve is one of Barcelona's newer clubs, and it’s perfect if you’re into great house music. The space is on the smaller side, which makes it feel intimate, almost like you’ve stumbled into a private underground party.
The two times I went, it wasn’t super busy, but I actually didn’t mind—it felt like I had room to breathe (and dance). That said, as more people start hearing about Clauve, I can see it becoming a lot more popular. If you’re looking for a chill, house-music-driven vibe with fewer crowds, Clauve is worth checking out.
15. Input
If you’re all about techno and electronic beats, Input is your place. Located in Poble Espanyol, this industrial-style club has some of the best sound systems in the city, and the energy here is unreal.
The crowd is full of people who are there for the music, not just to be seen, and the DJs consistently deliver. It’s definitely a go-to spot for a more immersive, underground club experience—think Berlin meets Barcelona. Input doesn’t try to be flashy, but it’s the kind of place where you’ll lose yourself in the music until sunrise.
16. Boca Chica
Boca Chica is where upscale meets eclectic, and it’s unlike any other spot in Barcelona. Spread across four floors, this place is more of a stylish lounge than a full-on club, but don’t let that fool you—it knows how to turn up the energy. The vibe is classy with a mix of old-school glam and modern design, making it perfect for pre-drinks or a more sophisticated night out.
Now here’s the fun part: on Fridays and Saturdays, the bathroom (yes, the bathroom!) turns into a mini club. I’m not kidding. The lights dim, a DJ starts spinning, and suddenly you’re dancing in front of ornate mirrors and marble sinks. It’s weird, unexpected, and somehow incredibly cool.
If you’re looking for an upscale, loungy spot that doesn’t take itself too seriously, Boca Chica is the place. Start your night with a cocktail and see where the evening takes you—you never know who you might end up dancing next to.
Tips for Barcelona Clubbing
- Timing is everything: Most clubs don’t get busy until around 2 or 3 a.m, so plan your night accordingly. If you’re hitting Negro Rojo, aim to get there by 12 a.m. to avoid the line.
- Dress to impress: Barcelona clubs tend to have a dress code, especially the upscale ones like Sutton and Jacqueline. Leave the sneakers at home for these spots.
- Get tickets in advance: Some clubs have discounted tickets if you book online, so it’s worth checking out before you go.
- Know your neighborhoods: Clubs like Razzmatazz and Sala Apolo are more casual and located in areas like Poblenou or Poble-sec, while upscale venues like Bling Bling and Sutton are in Eixample.
Barcelona’s club scene is one of the best in Europe, and there’s truly something for everyone. Whether you’re starting your night at G Spot and heading to Negro Rojo, dancing under the stars at La Terrrazza, or going all out at Razzmatazz or Bastian Beach Club, the energy in this city is unmatched. Just remember to pace yourself—Barcelona parties late, and you’ll want to make it to sunrise. Which club are you hitting up first? Let me know!
